Become a Hunter — Beyond Nen
Becoming a hunter in Beyond Nen is a pitch, a tutorial badge, a film chapter, and a teaser. The pitch says you might become a hunter after competing, exploring, fighting bosses, and finding hidden locations. Tutorial Completed! says the tutorial is the first steps toward becoming a Hunter. The long film has a Hunter Exams chapter at 21:24, and a 54 second teaser from 13 January 2024 puts Hunter Exams in the title.
There is no score table, license item, or phase list. The checklist is your own notes, saved in this browser. It is not an exam result, and ticking a box does not grant Tutorial Completed! or any other badge.
Unlocked Nen is a different badge, created 13 December 2024, with 0 awards and a blank description. Do not treat it as the exam reward. The tutorial badge was created on 20 June 2026, has 43 awards, and is the only badge that mentions a Hunter.

The store line about a hunter
Beyond Nen opens with the adventure of a lifetime. You compete and work toward being the strongest by exploring, taking on bosses, and discovering hidden locations, and you might become a hunter. A later line says the experience is doing what hunter x story could not. That pitch is not a quest log. It does not name an examiner, a gate, or a passing score. The first checklist box is this pitch. There is no separate exam object behind it. The same pitch also asks you to team up and build a squad that leads to treasures and experiences in a vast world. Other languages tell the same pitch in their own words. French, Spanish, and the rest keep the hunter idea inside that language's description. The early-access title changes with the language. The exam is not a separate object from the pitch.
Tutorial Completed! as the first step
You completed the Beyond Nen tutorial and took your first steps toward becoming a Hunter. The icon is unique. It is not the shared icon used by You Played, Tester, and Unlocked Nen. Forty-three awards is a small count next to the You Played awards on the same universe. The tutorial badge is also much newer than the December 2024 cluster. You can already have You Played and still be missing Tutorial Completed!. One badge does not grant the other. Tick the tutorial box after you finish the step the badge names. The box is a note on this device. It does not read your Roblox inventory, and it is useless as proof. The proof is the badge itself. You Played only means you have played. Tester does not mention a Hunter. Unlocked Nen does not mention one either. The June 2026 tutorial badge is the hunter step among the four.
Two films that name the exams
Direction is Decay, editing is SwiftSprint, voice acting is Rin. Weapons follows the exam chapter at 23:35 and Combat Showcase at 24:11. Nen Abilities is earlier, at 16:56, and it is a nen chapter, not an exam stage. The January 2024 film is titled Beyond Nen 2024 | Hunter Exams Teaser 1, with two spaces before Hunter in the title. The game is by Decay and The Beyond Nen Team, and the teaser sends you to the Discord invite beyondnen. It is a teaser, not the 21:24 chapter, and it is more than a year older than the long film. A third, shorter return film, I'm Back, The Real Beyond Nen, was published 20 April 2025, runs 137 seconds, and has 7867 views. It points you at Discord code jjM5r7pDT7. It is not an exam chapter. The two film steps that name exams are the 21:24 chapter and the January 2024 teaser. The teaser wishes a happy new year and sends you to discord.gg/beyondnen. The exam chapter is not the end of the long movie.
How the browser checklist behaves
